Described as “poetry in motion," Philip Vaiman is a concert violinist, dedicated to expressive and imaginative music-making.
Mr. Vaiman has captured audiences across Europe, America, and Asia with profound musicality and unlimited technical possibilities.
A recipient of numerous awards and prizes, including the membership of the National Music Honor Society, Philip has performed in major halls across the world and at international festivals including Huddersfield International Music Festival in England, Spoleto Music Festival in Italy, Music Festival of Pitea in Sweden, Hvar International Summer Festival in Croatia, Soesterberg International Music Festival in Netherlands, and the Bruman Chamber Music Festival in California.
Philip Vaiman’s recordings are featured on the soundtracks of award-winning motion pictures, documentaries, and commercials.
Philip has recorded and performed with a diverse roster of artists including Aretha Franklin, Sting, Taylor Swift, Tony Bennet, Pharrell Williams, Shakira, Michael Jackson, Dido, Andrea Bocelli, Juan Gabriel, Googoosh, Josh Groban, Amanda McBroom, Dwight Yoakam, Dave Matthew, Brad Mehidau, Nina Whitaker, Sheryl Crow, Lenka, Tori Amos, Nerina Pallot, Marty Friedman, and Alan Parson, as well as such bands as Pearl Jam, Goo Goo Dolls, Crash Kings, Buffy Clyro, Low Stars, Brocken Bells, KISS and Guns N’ Roses,
Since 2018, Mr. Vaiman has been a Grammy Voting Member at the Recording Academy.
Philip stays active as a soloist, chamber music performer, and recording artist.
Maksim Velichkin is an accomplished cellist, pianist, and harpsichordist who has been active as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestra artist among an international circle featuring venerable conductors and headlining classical stars. He has worked with James Levine, Kurt Masur, Charles Dutoit, Yuri Temirkanov, Wolfgang Sawallisch, Herbert Blomstedt, Christoph von Dohnanyi, Gabor Takacs-Nagy, Sarah Chang, Masaaki Suzuki, Maxim Vengerov, Yuri Bashmet, Andras Schiff, Bobby McFerrin, Joshua Bell, Martha Argerich, Gabriela Montero, Renaud Capucon, Lynn Harrell, Misha Maisky, Frans Helmerson, Sergey Babayan as well as many others. Maksim’s performances have been featured on Radio Suisse Romande, WQED FM in Pittsburgh, National Radio and Television of Uzbekistan. Moreover, as an improviser and interpreter of contemporary and popular music Maksim’s performance and recording career includes credits with Stevie Wonder, Chick Corea, Billy Childs, Burt Bacharach, Bobby McFerrin, Dwight Trible, Bitter:Sweet, Chris Botti, Bob James, Josh Groban, Red Elvises, Bernadette Peters, Natalie Cole, Alan Silvestri, Richard Thompson and many others. Born in Moldova, Diana Volman holds a master’s degree in piano performance from the Moldova State Conservatory of Music. She is the winner of the sixth international Tchurlyonis Competition and was awarded first prize in the Rachmaninoff All-State Competition.
She finished conservatory with the highest honors, and was offered a place on the faculty upon graduation. During her tenure, she was highly regarded as an interpreter of contemporary Moldavian and Ukrainian composers, and was frequently asked to debut their pieces and serve as editor of their published music. Her teachers include such eminent pianists as Vitaly Margulis, Dimitri Bashkirov, and Yevgeny Shenderovich.
In 1990, Diana immigrated to Los Angeles where she has taken on an active role in the cultural life of the Russian community. As Music Director of the Unity and Diversity Arts Foundation, she has spearheaded myriad events comprising many internationally distinguished artists. A sought-after accompanist, she has given highly acclaimed performances in such venues as the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the Thousand Oaks Civic Auditorium, and the San Gabriel Auditorium, collaborating with such eminent artists as Daniel Smith, Mariana Popzlateva, and Timur Abdikeev, among numerous others. She has organized many fundraisers within the Jewish community which bring the sacred art of cantorial music into modern life. In March 2013, she was invited to Jerusalem to record a solo CD of her repertoire, which is set to be released at the end of this year. She enjoys a career as a respected piano teacher whose students has gone on to attend prestigious music conservatories and is frequently asked to judge national competitions for young performers.
